mm, maybe indyart --> freehand ? but nothingn wrong putting it in females section -- this is beautiful work, the only word i can think of is 'vibrant,' the vibrant skin tones almost make her looks like she's glowing from the inside, && this is a very difficult pose to tackle, i LOVE the way you've done the left arm && left leg --

GOOD job indeed, ;D

Geez! You did that freehand? DAMN! That is REALLY good!

:iconvor:
Yep, it's totally freehand like all my gfx ... I don't like scan, I don't like photos, I don't like 3d :) (Smile) Creativity is only fully completed with pixels.

Very nice work. I myself am currently trying to draw photo realistic people, even though its impossible Ive still gotta see how close i can get :) (Smile) ... How did you do the skin tones, Ive tried in PSP5.0 and theres no way to do realistic skin tones considering changing skin tone isnt just a matter of increasing/decreasing luminance, fill me in. Dodge&burn? Also i admire how you pulled the pose off, did you work from a model, magazine etc. or just formulate in your head?

:iconvor:
first at all I use only photoshop :) (Smile)
for the skin tones, I first try to take a color near the good tone but without real importance, then I draw the global form. after I try to give it a relief, using first ligth variants of the major colors, then I merge it using the finger tools, and use the Variance photoshop option to find the good tone for the skin, after it I apply lights using luminance tool and dodge&burn in the same time... but the real work that give to the pict a photorealistic tuch is made by a long work of smoothing the colors to make the light have a good impact on the skin.
you can find some step of this pict here : http://oror.planet-d.net/cgi-bin/vor.cgi ?file=lei perhaps it may help you ...
courage :P (Razz)
ps : this pict is totally from my head :) (Smile) but sometime I use models ...
